He should have made an attempt to keep Ryan Mallett in Ann Arbor and "adjust" his offense to fit his skills, instead he ran him off in the hopes that he would get Terrell Pryor who picked Ohio State. No Mallett mean NO Manningham and no Adrian Arrington which left this team shockingly short of play-makers on the offense. He also ran off a wimpy but talented offensive tackle in Justin Boren and pushed out a couple of seasoned O-lineman like Alex Mitchell.

Mike Rosenberg nailed it when he said "Rich Rodriguez doesn't care about Michigan." Rosenberg's biggest fear is that Rodriguez is only at Michigan to try to win a National Title and doesn't care about the institution, the traditions and the history.

Rosey may be right. This season didn't have to be the disaster it is turning into, it could have been an 8-4 or 7-5 season, they could have preserved the consecutive win streak, the bowl streak and the undefeated against MAC schools streak if Rich Rod had played it smarter.

But he chose to run off Lloyd Carr's "pussies" and go it with a slew of underclassmen and inexperienced upper class-men and Michigan is paying a terrible price.

Rich Rod is giving up on his senior like Will Johnson, Terrance Taylor, Carson Butler and Mike Massey because he knows they won't be around in a couple of years anyway. It seem like it is his goal to toss this season to the youngsters and let them get some on the job training so he can win BIG in 2010.

Maybe Rosenberg was right, if he cared about Michigan he would have attempted to keep that bowl streak alive and play his upper class-man, instead Dick Rod just wants to win in 2010 or sooner.

I was also thinking about this whole gimmick called the spread offense, in retrospect I wonder why Michigan felt the need to go to it. Am I mistaken, did Michigan ever have a problem scoring points with the pro-style? NO! They needed a defensive coordinator to stop the spread. Maybe this whole Rodriguez thing was a mistake from the beginning.

I enjoy the blog.
